Turn social-media saves into context for your AI tools
A saved link tells you where an idea came from. A transcript, summary and your own notes tell an AI tool what the idea means and what you want to do with it. Scrollshelf brings those parts together without tying your notes to one assistant.
1. Save while you scroll
Share a supported social video to Scrollshelf from your phone. Use it for a founder interview, a design tutorial, a recipe or another useful explanation. Processing happens in the background; wait for the note to be ready before expecting a transcript.
2. Pick it up on your computer
Sign in to the web library with the same account you use in the mobile app. Find the note by title, phrase, tag or shelf. Web access uses an existing mobile account; it is not a separate sign-up or capture service.
3. Add the part only you know
Read the summary and check the source when details matter. Write your goal, constraints and open questions beside it. For a product idea, say who it is for and what you want to test. For a recipe, add your ingredients and dietary requirements.
4. Copy the complete context
Use Copy for AI in the note view. The export includes the source details, summary, key points, transcript and your own notes, plus structured output when available. Missing sections are omitted. It is plain markdown on your clipboard.
5. Give your tool a concrete next step
Paste into Claude, Codex, ChatGPT or another tool that accepts text. Ask for a useful next action, not just another summary. Scrollshelf does not automatically connect to those tools or create a worktree: you decide where the copied context goes and what happens next.
An example for a founder
Using the source and my notes below, propose one small experiment for my product. Separate the creator’s claims from your assumptions. List the questions we should answer before implementation. Do not change code yet.
The same workflow works outside work
For cooking, ask for a shopping list based on the saved recipe and what you already have. For travel, ask for an itinerary around the places you collected. For learning, ask for practice questions from the transcript. The useful ingredient is your own context alongside the source.
What to check before sharing
Read the copied text before pasting. Your personal notes are included, so leave out material you do not want to send to another service. Transcripts and summaries can miss details; the original source link stays in the export so you can verify them.
